"I reached out to Mary with a simple question about why my premium was so high and what I could do to reduce it. Instead of offering any helpful explanation or guidance, she responded by telling me to "just check your bill" — completely ignoring my actual concerns. I found this response dismissive and unprofessional. As a State Farm agent, her job is to support and inform clients, not brush them off. Very disappointed with the lack of customer service and attention. I do not recommend working with her at all. I have been with this agency for quite some time and every time I have to rely on her it always turns out to be a failure. STAY AWAY!! Updated Reply: Mary, Your response to my public review is not only riddled with blatant inaccuracies, but it is also astonishingly unprofessional for someone who claims to have “years of business experience” and offers “excellent service.” To clarify: your statement that my policy was unpaid and in a canceled state for 7 months is false. I have records clearly indicating multiple payments and communications on my part, which you are either conveniently ignoring or misrepresenting. If there were lapses, they were a direct result of your office’s poor communication, lack of follow-through, and repeated failure to address policy adjustments in a timely manner — issues I raised with you multiple times. Instead of taking responsibility, you’ve chosen to respond with a condescending and defensive tone, effectively blaming your client for your agency’s shortcomings. You speak of “respect,” yet there is nothing respectful about publicly insulting a former client and misrepresenting the facts. This kind of dismissive, antagonistic response further proves why I — and likely others — have lost faith in your ability to provide ethical, client-centered service. A truly experienced professional would address concerns with accountability and a desire to improve, not arrogance and deflection. Your response says more about your approach to business than any review could. Again I hope no one has to rely on your services. I also question your ethical behaviors and someone should look into your agency. Regards, Omar"

"Omar: At the time of your email, your auto policy was in a canceled state due to none pay. In the last 7 months of your monthly account, you have not been current on your auto insurance. State Farm and our office has continually reached out to let you know you policies were not being paid. Our office will not provide service to someone who ignores our warnings and cancellations. I provide excellent service to those who pay my office to work for them. Our office cannot hire and maintain our office without clients paying their premiums. "Shared a lot of the negative feedback here that others here experienced with Mary. Very unfortunate. Moved on and my life ( with insurance at least ) has been so much better. Do yourself a favor if you’re looking for an insurance agent , keep looking."

"I normally do not write reviews of someone, but I needed to let others know of my experience with Mary, and after reading her reviews, I see a consistent pattern of unprofessional and potentially unethical behavior. Mary has been my agent for about two years now. The first year of being with her I had little to no issue, likely due to the infrequency of our communications. This all changed when I had a large rate increase to my car insurance premium. I questioned her on my rate increase and the high expense of my premium, and she had listed economic factors (makes sense) and “two” car accidents that I had been in that occurred in 2022. I had not been in two accidents in 2022. When questioned on this, she had stated she was mistaken, and that the other accident had dropped off my premium. After a series of rude emails (and lectures on the type of vehicle I drive) on the legitimacy of her quoted premium, I decided to seek additional quotes. It turns out, I was right. My new premium is $1,000 less for a 6 month period with the EXACT same coverage from Progressive. I hope others do not have to experience the same rudeness and inaccurate quoting from Mary."

"Jen, Mary's assistant, has been nothing but fantastic in helping my husband and I get car and home insurance since we moved here from out of state. We had some atypical hurdles to overcome but Jen remained professional and prompt throughout and because of this the whole experience was painless. "Mary and her assistant, Jen, are a great team! I called the day before a holiday, and Mary responded the same day and started the process for insurance on a car and new driver. Jen followed up post holiday and ran insurance cost comparisons when deciding primary driver on each car. Mary also consulted on insurance and car purchase considerations for a new teen driver. Jen followed up to get me the discount info and training program for my teen to receive reduced rates. I also have several other policies thru Mary at State Farm. Mary and Jen are a great team to work with!"

"Until recently, I have tolerated Mary's self-interested and argumentative personality. Our friction never prevented me from getting what I need nor amounted to undue cost of time or money. My skills as a creative professional and university professor have me practiced with difficult people, and I've needed very few direct interaction's with Mary over 12 years. Indeed, the actual necessity of direct interaction with insurance agents, as with car salespeople, real estate agents and the like, is quite predictably rare. When I recently needed to review my insurance architecture and costs with probing questions and major changes, Mary's behaviors became unacceptably unprofessional, offensively unethical and some of them possibly illegal. My problems with her have persisted for three months, because State Farm corporate makes it very, very difficult to change agents. Mary still refuses to cancel a policy I told her I want her to cancel three months ago and State Farm corporate insists that Mary must do the cancellation and that I can't self-serve the cancellation. The whole system is screwed up and Mary's disagreeable behavior is non-negotiably at the center of it. If I refuse to pay the renewal premium, the contract stipulates the condition of non-payment goes to a collection agency rather than simply cancelling the contract. Thus my problem--now being bullied in to continued ownership of something I no longer want--persists with an uncooperative agent, an inflexible corporate system and potential consequences to my credit rating. We call this civilization? Sorry it's come to me bad mouthing you, Mary. I warned you about this."
